May Stash Stomper Challenge

Another month rolls around, can you believe it- May already! It's a lovely month for me personally, we celebrate birthdays of some very special people & of course there's Mother's Day, which I'm sure most of you would be looking forward to as well. I was thinking that challenges in May tend to typically be related to women, flowers & the like so I thought I might mix it up a little & choose a completely different angle as the subject matter for the challenge.

With winter sports now getting into to full swing & also (with any luck) gorgeous sunny days to get out & about to enjoy the great outdoors without gettting too hot............I'd like you to create a L/O about a winter sport or another kind of outdoor activity that you or your family enjoy during this time of the year & I'd also like you to include more than 1 photo on that L/O. The rest is up to you, any colours, papers or embellishments that take your fancy!

Here's my sample......

......looking forward to seeing all of your entries in the gallery.

Have fun & don't forget to upload your entry into the gallery before Midnight on Thursday 31st May to be in the running to win a fantastic prize (* minimum of 3 entries required for prize to be awarded)

Have a happy, scrappy May Day.

Susanne

MAY - Mystery BOX challenge

Hi everyone,

Amanda again - can you believe we have hit MAY? So on the 1st of the month, it is time for me to reveal my May Mystery Box challenge.

I know you are all as sad as me, seeing Liz Weber leave our RES Creative Team at the end of April. That means I will go on alone with my Mystery box challenge each month and create a layout using a list of special ingredients.  I will try to create a card also (not to compete with Liz, but instead for the personal challenge!). Anyway , no card for today, but I will have a go at creating one this week and load to our RES gallery.

MAY MYSTERY BOX CHALLENGE
Create a layout or card using the following ingredients:
* Misting with masks - you should try to use two different types of masks
* Stitching of some kind - machine, hand or even hand-doodled is fine
* Strips of paper
* Hand written journalling - preferably lots of it!
Remember you can add your own pantry staples, but you must stick to the core ingredients as much as possible!

So today I would like to share this layout...

I used new Crafters Workshop masks - both the hearts  (in stock) and chicken wire (currently out of stock, but Helen is getting more!)
I handstitched around the masked hearts (I love this!)
Used lots of paper strips - left overs from the layouts I created last week with Patterned Paper
Plus I did lots of journalling.

Letters: Prima
Embellishments: Handmade Halo Pebble, Handmade Halo Wooden Button, MME button and pins, Prima flowers I stole out of the April SUNSHINE kit

So please join us this month.... I would LOVE to see what you cook up!

Thanks,
Amanda
