April Mystery Box Challenge with Liz and Amanda

Hi girls, Amanda here....

Welcome to April and another Mystery BOX cook off at RED EARTH SCRAPPING...we are a small but loyal group of scrappers where everyone is made welcome, and we would love you to come over and try our challenges this month... for a chance to win gift vouchers to spend in store.  With new products hitting the shelves in the coming weeks, now is a great time to join in for a chance to win.

Every month Liz and I create a list of Mystery box ingredients, which you MUST use to create a card or layout project.

April Mystery Box ingredients are:

• 1 or more handmade PAPER flowers
• 2 Alphabets
• 3 Patterned Papers
• Twine
• Please note: You may add some staples from your pantry (!!! - ie. ink, stitching, lettering), but please try to stick to the core ingredients as much as possible.

Liz created this beautiful card:

Liz used 2 different fonts - stamped for one and srm stickers for the other.

She made the little pink paper flower using spellbinders (ooooo la la la - love this!) and used twinery twine.

Papers: Pink paislee spring jubilee paper - available in store now.

And here is my layout - I used an old vintage photo of my Nana....

Including  making my own little handmade flower with a circle punch.

I also used THIS SWIRLY VINE chipboard, which I inked, before adding gold ink as accents and to stamp script stamp on, finishing with dimensional magic.  I also set some HANDMADE HALO charms onto the vine, which I just love!

I used Jillibean Alphas similiar to these ones in store.

Now, my job on the creative team, is to inspire you with some projects that use bling and pearls.  Well, I hope that ALL of you, by now, are already proficient bling/pearls users (LOL), because they are simple and easy and always add a great finishing touch to any project.  In fact, you should have a big supply of them in their own case, in every colour so you always have something to match! If you don't, well now is the time to buy!

So here are just some of the lovely pages i've done using bling and pearls...

March Product Focus - Bling and Pearls

Hello there, Liz here with some cards using some gorgeous pearls and bling from the Red Earth Scrapping shop.

On this card I have used a gorgeous ZVA Creative crystal flourish

On this card I have cut off some small flourishes from a ZVA Creative pearl flourish

And on this card I used the rest of the ZVA Creative pearl flourish to make a really simple and easy card.

I hope this inspires you to use some of your bling and pearls to create some projects of your own and because one always needs plenty of bling and pearls in their stash make sure to visit the Red Earth Scrapping shop.

March Stash Stomper Challenge

Poor Susanne has had a really hectic month and an awful lot on her mind so I'm just popping in to belatedly post Susanne's challenge for March ...

I absolutely loved her concept for her February challenge - something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue - but sadly it didn't get any entries in our gallery.

So this month, we're giving you a second chance at it, and to spice it up just a little, I've found this picture to provide inspiration for the basis of your creation.

The challenge is therefore thrown open to interpret the phrase AND/OR the picture as you like.

Remember to get your entries in the gallery by the end of the month and for a shop voucher prize to be awarded we need a minimum of 3 entries.
